Nope...it is just information to add to the debate. Our troops who go into battle are not quite as restricted as our troops who sit on base at home. Although in some cases they might be more restricted as well...all depending on where they serve.

Most people don't phrase the statement, "If I'm old enough to sit around on base and pass out basketballs for my country, I'm old enough to drink!" Most of our fighting is actually done overseas where the rules are different.

The opposite is also true. "If I am old enough to die for my country (say a 30 year old) and am defending our cherished freedoms, shouldn't I be allowed to consume alcohol if I want to?" In certain countries, the answer is "no".
