When is gonna be done? Im playing a little WOL and is ok, perhaps ill become Gold, but i just read that WoK is under development and wanted to know its features and stuff.

I've heard Gequinn say that Req told him it's about 10 to 15 percent done. But that was like...a month ago. So many now it's 17% done!

Ohh. A rather simple game like this dont take too much for making, perhaps 6 to 9 months, i think so. The graphics is the most difficult department, and perhaps tweaking performance issues.

Do you know some features and improvements over WOL?

I wouldn't be expecting the new version out in 6-9 months...

Maybe in a year if Req gets his butt in gear, but more likely longer.

Mm, but i think at least he has 60% of the engine up if he reuses some of the WOL's code.

WoK is supposed to be a much more enhanced version with much more micro-management I believe and there are some issues that have been given considerable thought that I suspect will only be perfected by testing even though IMO it is natural for a game creator to try to make a perfect first effort as this version was very close to being when it was originally presented.

Balancing a game takes forever!

From what I understand from Req, the new game will be quite different, and not use much of the same code. He has to start over almost, from what I gather.

The new maps will be randomly generated. Instead of multi units in a stack there will be only one unit represented by an icon of a unit.

Demons will be used in campaigns.

Instead of resource buildings as such, there will be hex shaped areas to control and produce specific things in.

He is also a professional game and web designer so he has to work on his living most, the game second.

I wouldn't expect the new version soon.

However, this version still has more going for it than most other games out there, and it is FREE.
