I've come across a player that has knights by turn 11...

Now, how many turns do one need, to be able to reach that tech level?
(8000+4000+2000) Gold + (100+50) Gems + (800+400+200)*3 for the remaining resources just for Expert, Master and Advanced Melee + 1000 Gold + 100 Gems + 300 Metal + 600 Stone + 100 Wood for a Training Guild...

That gives me 15000 Gold, 250 Gems, 2700 Metal, 1800 Stone and 700 wood... + the actual cost of actually building them, and the time to research the techs, since one can't due any research in turn 0.

So, it gives U what... 4 to 6 turns IF your near all the resources u've need + find quite a few of those stockpiles right next to you?

I've barely managed to get most resources + start to field Pikemen and was confronted with a small unit of knights and an unit of Pikemen

Am i just being too slow?

If someone put that much into getting mastertroops thaat early , how many other troops and techs could he/she afford? I say go kill him /her at once and steal that barrack

Turn 11 indeed. Why would anyone wait that long if they wanted to go for knights?

It's almost as good as that mention in another thread, of a Catapult rush at Turn 6...

Who knows... if we're lucky, we'll get soon a clash of two mighty armies; Battering Rams on one side fighting Commandeers on the other side... who shall prevail? Who will teach us some new age tactics...?
