| Posted : Wednesday, 20 July 2005 - 21:13 how does the ranking system work. is it a set thing? like 5 more added to your level for first place, 3 more for second place, and 1 more for third place? or are their points that contribute to moving up a level or what? i would like a detailed description of how it works, if at all possible! thank you!
edit: i am asking in regaurds to campaigns specifically, but battle info is appreicated as well... Last Edited : Wednesday, 20 July 2005 - 21:15 | Hwatta Joined 11/11/2003 Posts : 957
| Posted : Wednesday, 20 July 2005 - 21:24 For the first 5 campaign games played, the rank is the total of your game points divided by the number of games plus 1.
For a 1-40 level game, finishing first...you get 40 points...thus, 40/1+1 equal 40/2 for a rank of 20. After the next game, with another first place finish...you get another 40 points...thus, 40+40/3 equal rank 27.
After you have 5 games, your rank is just the average of your last 5 games:
40+40+60+60+80/5 equals rank 56. | | shakab133 Joined 20/04/2003 Posts : 191
| Posted : Wednesday, 20 July 2005 - 23:48 what is it that determines the number of points that you get per game? is it equal to the maximum level allowed in that game? eg. a 21-60 game will give you 60 points for that game? is that it? and what does second, third, 4th, 5th, and so on places get you? | Posted : Thursday, 21 July 2005 - 00:40 It depends on the number of players, but the point spread is evenly distributed over whatever the number is:
In a 40 player 1-40 game, the first place gets 40, the second place gets 39...the 40th place gets 1.
In a 10 player 21-60, the first place gets 60, the second place gets 56, third gets 52...10th place gets 21.
An easy way to get the exact number quickly is to look at the "Scoreboards"..."Last Game" for the last round of the game you are in or a similar game in number and rank spread...that will show a list of how many points each player got. | | shakab133 Joined 20/04/2003 Posts : 191

| Posted : Monday, 8 August 2005 - 12:15 The best I can determine from this is that in a 41 to 80 game with 10 players, the player who finishes last gets 41/1+1 = 21 (i.e. if he only played that one game and the half point is rounded up). Of course to be at a 41 to 80 rank, he had to play more than a few games to get there so it would have to get averaged with the last 5 games.
However, in a 51 to 100 game the last player would get 51/1+1 = 26 (i.e. again if he only played that one game and the half point is rounded up) So why all the complaining where we're not supposed to post (i.e. at least where I haven't ever posted)? Someone has to be first and someone has to be last. No one complained when first got 80/1+1 = 40 So why should there be a complaint about 100/1+1 = 50?
**(last edit)** was to change shouting to complaining
