I built my Battle Planner program:

and I want to add a way to tell us how many rank points a battle will generate between any two ranked players and add it to that.

I have seen the algorithm to do this and it is hairy and I can't even find the thread for it anymore. What I need is for people to report their scores so I can build my own somewhat accurate system.

If you folks would enter your battle points lost or gained like this:

56 wins vs 21 = + 2.78 points
or
45 loses vs 34 = -7.12 points
here in this thread,
I can make a fair guess as to the algorithm.
Use the ranks BEFORE the battle, too.

Here's one of mine:
140 wins vs 82 = +2.08

I did the basic calcs.. and got my current level -1

I put this link at the top of the the thread too...
So give it a try and see how close it is to predicting your rank change in battles. Tell me how it did, too.

it did ok it was corect 3 out of 5 battles

Here's the actual algorithm I used:

OK, I made a new version of the BattlePlanner with Barbarians and a few speed improvements. Same link as above. Tell me if you see any mistakes or it doesn't work.

Flash is a cool program!

In the BattleRanker program the higher ranked player is always entered first. Then the lower ranked player. The outcome is good for either, if the low ranked player wins he/she gets what the higher ranked player would have lost.

Remember though, it is only approximate until I fix it up a bit with the real algorithm from Req, which he has given me and I haven't put in yet...


Since I don't need any mores battle figures I'll close the thread.
