i found a program i think for recording a game. its called game cam.

oh yeh, get it free from ddlspot.com (dont think im allowed to say that lol)

That program is only for making videos of game applicatoins (w/ .exe files).. But thx anyway

Like you said earlier titonator, I think the simplest thing to do is just open the Battle map, hold 'alt' + 'print screen'.. then paste the image into a something like MS paint, windows paint, Excel, or even MS Word..

Capture the image, then paste it on one page, then scroll down and paste the next, and so on..

This would be done at the beginning and end of each turn..

Just to make it clear:

1. When your turn begins, pick a good shot of your troops (and the battle more importantly).. and while holding down the 'alt' key, press the 'print scrn' key (which is in the upper right hand corner of the Keyboard, next to F12)..

2. Switch to any program that will hold captured images (Microsoft Word, MS Paint, Windows Paint, etc.).. right click on the page, select 'paste'.. which will paste the image..

3. Repeat the process right before the end of the turn..


If anyone does not understand how to do, or doesn't have the capability to do this.. PM me or post here..

I want every player in the tournament to do this when battling..


After each battle, I want you to send the file w/ the screenshots to: thelix@inbox.com

I'll organize them and then post the results..

I'm hoping this will be posted after the whole tournament is done...because doing this in the middle of the tourney will give away lineups...kind of cheap

I'm new here, and I'd love to throw my hat in, but I'm not sure I will be available enough in the next few days. Friday night works well...actually most nights between 9-11 CST work well. Let me know if that fits...I could use a good whoopin' by one of these high ranking players...and capturing an image seems a little cumbersome...

You're right about it giving away the lineup, I overlooked that.. I'll post the results after the tournament instead..

If that's the ONLY time you could schedule for, then I'm not sure it's going to work.. But I'll have to see what other player's schedules are..

It could be 3 weeks, or it could happen that 4 people suddenly stumble across an interesting Battle Tournament thread and join today.. Who knows?

I've thought about it a little more, and I really don't see a reason why the replays can't be released after the matches. People are going to want to know the results afterwards anyway. Besides that, what disadvantage does knowing the player line-up create?
Replays are meant to spice up everyone's (not just the players) interests in the battles, which is why it's best to show them right after the matches; If I wait till the end and just dump them on everybody when they don't have any relevance, what good are they?

If you understand what to do, it shouldn't take any more than 15-25 seconds for the beginning and end of the turn capture combined. If there's any thing at all you don't get or need clarified, please PM me so I can clear it up.. I want everyone to know what's going on.
