I am looking at updating Auto-Battles to use WoK's Battle-Scenario system.

Battle Scenarios are pre-set battle combinations.

Rather than randomly selected troops, a player can select from a list of pre-selected troops, or select "random" which would select one of the scenarios at random.
Both players would then battle using the troops defined in that scenario.

As such, we need to come up with a good 20+ troop formations to create these scenarios.

We need scenarios that cover all 3 levels (BASIC, ADVANCED, EXPERT - each 3 RPS in each level), scenarios that cover just 1 level at a time, scenarios that could be geared towards ranged or flying, etc...

Basically, we need interesting scenarios of different combinations, levels, sizes, etc.

When you have an idea, please post the combination, including an interesting name that describes what it is, and the number of troops.

My next 2 posts will include the current list of scenarios.

I could be mistaken but the scenarios only seem to be listing one of the 2 forces.

Ghengis,

They're like autos. Both sides have the same set-up. The difference is when you start a game you'll get to choose the set-up instead of it being just random troops picked.

Well I have to say that is lame! Here is a scenario named after the person that inspired it.

Mog swarm - deadly
Map = original battle map

You went out to train your troops, how were you to know there was a swarm of mogs migrating through the area. Can you survive.

Defender:
arbelestiers - 7
marksmen - 5
knights - 2
haevy cavalry - 4

attacker:
spearmen - 1
archers - 17
macemen - 19

This scenario is based off of an actual 6000 point conflict between Mog and myself. I don't remember the attackers forces accept that it was almost entirely macemen and archers. Note the defender did win without holing up in the castle.

Lame, huh, Ghengis? You're just jealous again!

OK, here's a Barbarian setup...

Barbarian's Picnic (21)

2 longbowmen
1 Slayer
1 Bandit
1 Renegade
1 Beserker
2 Barbarians
4 Red Archers
3 Ryders
3 Grunts
3 Brigands

The Barbarians are out for a lovely picnic when they run into another group of Barbs who want their sandwiches!
