There's a lot more to clans than gangbanging. Most clans don't do it. Treat gangbanging like gangbanging. Don't differentiate between clan gangbanging and regular gangbanging, they're both wrong. Abolishing clans won't do ANYTHING to stop gangbanging, and it'll do a lot of harm.

I don't think we are going to abolish clans with so much of the game centered around them and I guess there are some clans that consider themselves to wear white hats, but I see constantly this attitude of "pay back" and it comes down to the fact that two wrongs don't make a right (i.e. especially when an innocent player goes to the aid of someone who is getting "paid back" and knows nothing about the past of the player he's defending (i.e. in some circumstances, not that this is one of them)).

I have mentioined or suggested a system of referees who wouldn't mind monitoring game news and determining if there is a culprit or culprits by being authorized to inquire of players why they are shown in a 2 or 3 on 1 posture in the game news. Maybe instead of abolishing clans we can punish just the guilty the way they do in sports (i.e. by suspending game priviledges for a month for first time offenders).
If gangers find they can't queque a game for a month, maybe they will change their style of play.

I'm not even in a clan, but strongly agree with Sage's point. It WON'T eliminate gangbanging by eliminating clans!

Now that Req has included clan affiliation labels for players in a game queue, you'll just have to make a decision if you see 2 or more from the same clan whether or not you want to join that game and take a chance. Then, make a note whether those clan members ganged or not. Chances are you'll find some clan members do it...and some do not. You'll just have to figure out on your own which is which and base future game decisions on that information.

That is really about all you can do...

Not all clans gangbang! I have been ask to help someone against another saying they have 2 castles and we have 1 each, so it makes it fair. I have refused. I just don't believe in gangbanging. 1 clan doing it, does not mean all clans do!

yea man we got 3 SNS people in LMS1 including myself, and we have no problems. we like to compete (im beatin em both so far :p) and have fun more than simply cheat. plus why ruin it for the rest of us cause a couple bad eggs are gagngin up on people?

clans will not be abolished.

it will be better when Clan games are more official.

or maybe we get that multi hit penalty going like if ur being hit by another person u get +20%defense for each person hitting thou there are ways about cheating on this but maybe this idea can be improved?

Yes that seemed like the perfect solution except that some smart guys would probably deliberately try to get ganged just to get the bonus.
