Hey everyone.
Have you seen these new black armies that took over Bandits, Renegades, and Barbarians? They're pretty wild. I think it was a good switch.

Have you seen on the "troop of the day" board that they sometimes have horsemen and crusaders? Yet, I've never seen them in campaigns. Do they only show up in battles? Or have they not been upgraded into the game yet?

I have a suggestion for a new kind of ranged army. Amazons. Seriously, think about. They would be skilled archers, and a female presence in the games. I know there are many female players who would like an army like that.

Your feedback on all of this would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Well, maybe not Amazons, because they're closer to Greek history. This game is more Roman and Dark Ages. What about gladiator armies?

I think there actually are amazons in the pictures that used to be under the fantasy army set. They were hot! In a deadly killer sort of way.

I think someone should talk to the guy who runs this game (idk who it is) and tell him to consider these ideas. If anyone else has any thoughts, post them here.

Req actually does a really good job of considering our ideas when he has time to devote to us. He has a very busy life and is feverishly developing the follow-on to this game called "War of Kings". He regularly considers our inputs on game changes and many of the features and the balance of the current game are based on inputs from the veteran players here.

Just post your ideas...we will discuss them and Req may use them if they are original and helpful. Many ideas have come up that are either not useful or not easy to program. More troops, less troops, bigger troops, stronger archers, weaker archers, boats, roads, atomic weapons...you get the idea.

Also, notice this weeks poll on the timelimit for battles. He will often poll us to see how most of us feel about a change he is considering before he makes it.

Why were they taken out of the game? They seem like good troops.

Does anyone know if req is aware of my ideas? I think they're good too.

In the online manual (found under Help) there are 5 character types; medi, demi, barb (which we can play now) along with undead and fantasy. The link to fantasy used to work just like the others, but I only vaguely recall what the individual character types were.

Maybe Req can fix it.
