My first strategy tip would be to read the Online Manual

the online manual and perhaps also the FAQs (or are they kinda outdated?).
only after checking them should newbies ask questions in the forums, perhaps.
otherwise, vets will have to answer the same questions time and again, tho they are already thoroughly explained in manual and FAQs, which is sort of irritating, sometimes

But if it ain't in either of those and we're going to get asked these other questions time and time again, surely that's just as annoying? Or a cue for a manual update? :-)

its alright to hear those questions time and again, since they have to be answered
therefore they are not annoying, IMHO.
others that are already covered in the manual do not necessarily have to be discussed in the forums IMHO.

so make no mistake about it, im not complaining about being confronted with newbie questions ...

manual and faq are not outdated AFAIK.

im working on an downloadable version of the manual and faq. to read all the stuff offline. and to print it out.
