BigAmigo ![]() Posts : 3310 | Posted : Thursday, 5 September 2002 - 21:09 Pikemen yes, if my opponent has gotten to HC before me.
Genming ![]() Posts : 869 | Posted : Thursday, 5 September 2002 - 21:24 I go for Archers then Marksmen, HeavyCavalry, Knights. You would hardly ever see spearmen or swordsman or even arbs in my troops.
sugarleo ![]() Posts : 2720 | Posted : Thursday, 5 September 2002 - 23:15 I use marksmen, heavies and knights as well...maybe not heavies or knights until late in the game, but I always include squires and macemen in my armies for their special abilities.
Chiron ![]() Posts : 1679 | Posted : Thursday, 5 September 2002 - 23:51 Usually I go straight for Marksmen and Heavy Cavalry. Two barracks for marskmen and one for HC. Before I get the upgrades I'm pretty vulnerable though because all I got is a bunch of scouts running around heh.

Floyd-O-Matic ![]() Posts : 2448 | Posted : Saturday, 14 September 2002 - 09:43 I'm a big fan of macemen. I find that most people like HC so if I bring up my macemen in d mode the HC sorta melt away. I used to do the same thing with pikemen.
sugarleo ![]() Posts : 2720 | Posted : Saturday, 14 September 2002 - 12:06 I'll second that Floyd...like those macemen as well!
| CoD Posts : 76 | Posted : Monday, 16 September 2002 - 03:28 At the beginning i ussualy train only scouts and archers, then jump to falchioniers (my favourites) and start an assault. Nobody has resist to that yet | |
| RedTony Posts : 210 | Posted : Tuesday, 22 October 2002 - 18:11 An entrechted line of squires is better than a stone wall, especially for archers and arbs hardly damage them. | |
Genming ![]() Posts : 869 | Posted : Tuesday, 22 October 2002 - 19:52 I find drawbridges and wall better than Squires. Archers and arbs can't even hit them once they are complete and most troops can only hit at most 250 damage to them. Only troops you need to look out for is commandeers.
| RedTony Posts : 210 | Posted : Tuesday, 22 October 2002 - 20:24 Yup, but drawbridges and walls can't move towards your enemy and damage them as well. | |
| Stealth Posts : 126 | Posted : Tuesday, 22 October 2002 - 20:34 Depends on my economy. If it sucks I stick with cheap and low resource consuming armies. | |
