1. In battle u wish for macemen to be set in 20
2. balista u want 300
3. heavey cava 50 each
4. if the enemy runs his mouth at u saying he is going to beat u.. And later begs for mercy show none!!!!

Rape pilage and burn!!!!!!!!

with this and a little more men u should have no problem beating enemys....

Thanks for the advice...but remember there are the 'regular' games and then 'skirmish', those suggested pop amounts would need to be adjusted depending on what type of game you're in. Having 300 ballistas in one stack would be a waste unless you're in a skirmish game and probably 50 heavies is a bit high for the regular games as well. I'm not quite sure what you're saying with your "in battle" comment about macemen, but 20 is a nice pop for blocking purposes..however in campaign battles, I prefer pops of 50-80, maybe even 100 if I'm not pressed to get them into action quickly, and of course if you're playing in a skirmish...the best thing to remember is...the bigger, the better!

Sorry this was only met for fast games also 300 balista in a fast game will devastate any army... 20 macemen help to mak a line like this

Do we get to know who or where this has been tested on, or are you withholding the names for the sake of those involved?

i have done this in battle before but i will tell not how i did it on it is a tatic i realy use but works perfect

Actually, I was talking in terms of the level of the player, the speed of the game etc..

For example, tactics I swore were almost unbeatable - and were at the time - were suddenly made to look very foolish when Hll tried out something of his own. I'm not doubting your tactic IS effective - of that there is no doubt - but the question is, how skilled can the player be before he finds ways to beat it?

I don't now but it has work before for me

a good tactic against this may be squires and marksmen! squires are the contra troop of macemen (-50% against range-attack) and if your marksmen (against 300 ballista youŽll need about 200?) have the chance to get in the range of the ballista theyŽll be deadly!
for both troop types ( marksmen and squires ) you have to spend about the same money in upgrades like in macemen and ballista!

I would use lots of small bands of swordsmen against him and try to flank him with Squires/Balistas.

That may work depends in this game flanks take a long time

Patience, you don't expect to win a war against good players quickly....

only way to know is to wait for him to lvl up and play against ur guys using his tactic, then we shall know if it works just as effective then.
