The game reminds much of chess, everyone uses his own strategi but the openings are often similar with some variations ofcourse. Go out and take control over as many resources as possible, grew strong and hope you are not gangbanged:-)

If you don't need to buy troops then don't.Buy the techs and research the higher level troops.

Caveat;Do not neglect commandeers, use them to back up your troops and try to protect them. They come in very handy round turn 46.

and after he feeds your men to his horses I will teach you how to beat a guy like him in a battle game. It will give him something real to talk about instead of spamming...

We should write a phase by phase play guide to help give these newbs and idea of what most people will play like.

I'd settle for a "build strat" sort of thing..

Just a general rundown of what's the best things to build in which order to get the most offensive attacking force..

Depending on how you wish to play of course..?

*shrugs*

Would be nice if the "vets" shed some of their light on us

And savetuba.. challenge me in a battle game sometime..
Im not good, but I enjoy the challenges

hehehehe, my next victim wishes to die...

With all the new updates Writing a log on how to get a good start is varied...

What most do is move comms to the rescource buildings like wood and metal because they are the most used resource other than gold. Also move the scouts you have to take all piles in your given area. Gold 1st, Wood 2nd, metal 3rd, gems 4th, stone 5th.

After the comms take the only resource on the road build a blacksmith. Have the other take the stone resourcer.

Build a millitary acad next and move the other comm to a gold mine.

From there it is open ended as to what you do.

The marketplace is very useful in this respect. However, not until you get all the extra techs as well. Sell 500 gems at 90% cost value and you'll see what I mean

If you've allied with your neighbours and troop production is not essential then conserve your resources and leave the marketplace and trading til later. You will be rich enough to buy what you want then.

I don't understand the last point very well. Why do you need to conserve your resources, tarim? If you're going to use them anyway, why should you wait?

Because even when teched up the marketplace is still only 90% plus the small fee plus all the tech costs. You could have lots of troops running around but nothing in the kitty if your castle comes under attack.ie your neighbours lulling you into a false sense of security.

falkenberg, there is an old saying thats goes something like this "if u want to be the best hang and listen to the best" i would listen very hard to the top 30 players there r the best and u will learn much from them.

LOD #6
CTD #11 ( see i dont hate u i just dont like spam :-)
tarim not in the top 100 ( now i am not trying to pick on tarim he does at time have good thing to say)

but maybe just maybe if u listened just a little more we can all learn something. we all can learn and should learn something new ever day. like i should learn how to spell but after 40 year well..........

my one hint keep your training guild inside your castle if it is lost u lose all your tech with it that could be as much as 42,000 if all 3 barrack where tech out and it could be even more. that goes for all the other building as well but for a barrack or 2

Firstknight: Hate? *looks puzzled...*
You snapped and I snapped back. That's all :-)

Falkenberg: What Tarim means to tell you is that you still shouldn't trade unless you have to, as there's still some wastage. Having said that, when you need it, it really IS a fantastic tool - especially when you trade the full 500 resources in every deal and have the full techs (minimum wastage )

It always ahppens you have alot of *useless* resources, like you have 4k metal and only 500 wood,..
it is not nessecairy to trade that, but you can prolly use the money better then that metal!

well if you have to much resources of a special type change your military training! for example too much stone train falchioniers, too much metal macemen. changing troop production is also a possibility!
