Yes read the lectures. They are so good, I copied them and pasted them into a word document. I created a text-book of sorts. There have been some small changes in the game since these were done, but still reading them can make you a better player for sure!

Yes, all the lectures are useful, as is what I sent you earlier (the dead basics)
My apologies for not noticing this earlier...I'm 'on break'
But yes, learn the basics first...they alone - and staying in the game even when losing, rather than abandoning it - will get you a decent rank. It really is that simple...!

the tree doesn't always show that a tech or upgrade is required before getting a further tech or upgrade. ie Advanced Archery looks like it isn't required before getting Expert Archery. Basically the tree branches are not correctly drawn.
Also, there are other errors. like Tax Reform. Military is needed before you can get Tax Reform, but the tree doesn't show this.
a couple of bugs, but the tree is extremely usefull and very well put together. helped me a lot to plan my game
