Because this is a WAR game. Someone looses and someone wins. That is the only way this game can be played. Sometimes it is you and sometimes it is your victim. If you don't like it don't play.

It seems to me that there is a certain breed of gamers who have ABSOLUTELY no honour in their game play, not to mention other attributes such as an adventurous spirit. In a game I play right now (Turn 66) I have been defending my rather small kingdom (just the Rough area) from two others- for near 30 turns now- which have sent in wave after wave of Marksmen, Heavy Cavs and hordes of Scouts, Spears and others, so far without success. The fourth player left in the game (ranked 4th as well), has now decided to join the battle on the attackers side. Despite my pleas, he deems it easier to fight a besieged player rather than help out.
It is absolutely true that the game’s purpose is to win by killing ALL the other opponents, but a minimal sense of decency, fair play and good will are as important as good strategy and tactics. To each his own, but people must remember that; what comes around, goes around…

I thought it wsa a 'request for strategic help' thread in the strategy area?

It is only natural for people to have different opinions and feelings about a subject, not to mention different ways to express themselves. It is also a commonplace occurrence even in scientific exploration, that your researched topic diverts along the course of inquiry, some of the greatest discoveries of our times were made so. Even a strategic discussion about gang-bangers could include personal view-points and jokes/grievances/analysis if done in a clean language form.
Examine your own posts to see if they are all purely strategic advice or do they contain as well, some personal or non-related comments and advice. Mostly, do not appoint yourself censor or moral guardian of any thread, I believe that is Requiem’s job.
