Has anybody done the numbers for selling your castle for resources?

I know the flaws but I have ended up not having to defend my castle in most of the (few)games I have played. In a game where you are in a corner with limited attack routes this could work.

Lets see, not counting tech

28 walls (what?) 1400 wood or 3125 stone less the 1000 for the upgrade.

4 towers 400 metal and 2400 stone.

Hey this might be worth it

Anybody ever use this idea? On their FIRST castle that is.

Well, actual castle defence so rarely works in the late game...so it's a good plan
Might as well get a few more troops to help fight (and man the towers OUTSIDE )

Well when you have a chance to lock yourself up, with a good amount of resources ... walls are valuable.

i like to sell my castle especially when i´m in serious problems... it´s fast and gives you easy gold and ressources. the problem is if your enemy is at your castle you´ve got little defense problems... errrrr, which defense?

How do you get resources from a wall?By removing it?You can1t attack it.

1/3 repayment, I believe (for removal)
Of course, there's the old dirty trick of using your castle as a speed ramp to charge at your opponent full-pelt and ambush him without him ever seeing it coming...
You still need the firepower tho

As you know, a player can only see so far.
If you prepare for the invaders, and leave your forces to the back part of your castle, you can use the empty space (that used to be the walls) to charge - with extra speed (the 150% thing) - and attack your opponent in such a way that he'll never see it coming in time and have no way to react

Anything where your opponent isn't even able to respond is a little dirty
