what would you suggest works best against armies of level 50+ scouts which number in over 200? i was tinking alot of macemen..and possible marksmen...but then my ballastia of 88 level 11 seem to kick their arse pretty well 2...oh on that note what do u reckon would work well against marksmen if u need to close in and kill them... i was thinking some knights so that i can inflict as much dmg as possible?

Ballista get a size bonus, which could come in handy against 200 scouts, and protecting them with macemen sounds like good idea.

I would go with HC against the marksmen, as they can move in faster than Knights... or Squires who have ranged protection. Plus Ballistas who also have ranged protection, and better range than marksmen for taking out any defenders, and whittle down the marksmen to do less damage against your melee troops.

The reason I was thinking knights was because In the lower grey region bordering yellow in the standard 10 player map..I put a drawbridge which his comms are taking over and he got marksmen right next to them I got a barracks in the castle in the darkgrey just near that drawbridge and if i deply the knights I get the travelling bonus of the castle (as theres no walls or nething i just capped the castle land and put a barraks there) since knights have the no retailation bonus it will allow me to break through his marksmens heavy defense ratings as they are like level 11 already lol what ya think?? If im able to go on the offensive this way should work wont it

Knights should do the job nicely as long as they can reach the target before they're killed off. And kill the Comms with yer ballista before the can take the drawbridge.

It really has to be ranged when against high-evel melee, since even mace men won't be able to face up to the extra +50 skill he's got. And make sure that those pesky stacks NEVER escape. When they're that high, you have to do everything possible to make sure they get wiped out. Even if it means waiting until they're near enough to flatten in one bout of heavy fire (several units )

I just managed to wipe out 200 of his level 44 scouts but then i noticed on the border of the white and greenland where he made a breach in my wall defenses theres an army of 256 level 53 scouts... they were only like 180 pop last turn lol... i tink i better get in range to hit this guy

YEahhhh i won LAst Man Standing 17 !! lol.... my ballista's cained it killing 42 of his super level 54 scouts each turn ahhhhh he voted to end game...and I just overtook him in rankings as well and vote ended game to claim rank numero UNO !!!!! BWAAHA *hehe*
