I wasn't aware that AAA still was a clan.

Either way, the best clans tend to make their own luck. As i a constant attribute with any successful team.

also luck has nothing to do with how good or bad you are you could be as good as you want and that doesnt mean that every game you have won hasnt been by luck.

However, my point is still unmoved. It was agreed by the participants to be a double elim tourney. (Even though the details weren't actually worked out BEFORE the tourney started).

Yes that's right. two losses and your out, so in the final matchup, the winner of the winner bracket would only need one win, whereas the winner of the loser's bracket would need two wins in a row.

Hey gueritol...I'm wearing shades. That WAS alot of purple on the field with our two massive armies clashing....seems there's less pink than before, though.

And btw, I WASN'T aware that along the way, the tournament was supposedly changed to a double elimination, my understanding was that a loser's tourney was going to be played. A double elimination was not how the tourney started.

Yes it was, it was stated on the original thread before any games were played. Besides, I would think you'd want a ddouble elim.

now i'm rather confused, I always assumed that BigAmigo was the worst player... ugh.

As of Friday, April 16, 2004. The WARLORDS have 5 players queued for Clan 23. The BoP has ZERO. How long do we wait before this one is declared a forfeit? I have contacted Lt. Pain twice on his clans participation and have gotten NO response. This beteer not be another 2 month wait...

Perhaps, BA, I don't recall a concensus of teams agreeing to that, I do remember a discussion about having some type of playoff for the losers.

Why should I desire a double elimination? AAA is only 2 wins away from gaining the championship.

well go search that first clan wars thread. I am sure it was the rule from the start. Well I for one dont mind winning an extra game to prove I am the winner and just did not get lucky with a placement.

There sugar I bumped that thing up. It does look as though you and a few others were against it. But I thought Fulcrum, who is running it agreed to make it D.ELIM. And pain made up some brackets way back then.

It is my position that a double elim is only appropriate because the seeding methods here was not all that scientific. With a D Elim, nobody can claim, luck, seeding, placement, or team mate issues since they get a second chance. Plus if your truly th best you should be able to beat any team twice.
