Req seemed pretty adamant that there would be no ranked Novice games in the next version, but none of us but the wee ones may see that, so don't sweat it.

yes, i believe i was there in IRC w/ sage the moment req changed his mind, but its been a few months and i've slept many times since then so i'm not exactly positive

I must protest, I really think the picking of troops should be still available. I'm all for the new autobattles and think they should be the only *ranked* battle.
Being able to pick a force and have an all out war, not knowing what your facing is something I have always loved about the waronline battles. Please Req, hear our pleas, lets keep the pick battles in for entertainment purposes at least!
