Stig, don't take this personally, I do this to all the new clans:

There is almost no chance that your clan will ever make it. There are dozens of clans started by low level players, so yours isn't any different from theirs.

Join an existing clan, gain some levels, make a circle of friends on WoL. Then, once you've established some credibility and gained some respect, THEN start a clan.

Most people I tell this to get extremely hostile. I expect that. But later, after they've been around longer, they admit that I was right.

There are currently enough well-known and good clans looking for members that will gobble up all the good players, leaving you with inactives and noobs. The only way to make a good clan now would be to have a high-level/skilled player start the clan, and build up noobs using their experience. A group of new players will hardly ever go anywhere, unless someone teaches them.

Indeed, one only needs to do a simple player search for a small string of letters, like say "bac" and you'll see that most players just don't stick around for too long.

I'd suggest just playing without a clan for a little while, and then once your ranks start getting up there you'll be able to draw attention from some of the more established clans.

Starting a clan is another option, but is quite difficult to do. As Sage has said, the competition between clans for players will put your clan at a great disadvantage. I know of my time in CoC that this is true (although I think we're starting to gain more respect and hence are more attractive to clanless players).
