| Posted : Wednesday, 16 February 2005 - 22:52 That was quite a battle! The FSA team of Fanatic, Gueritol, Crovax, DoRW, and Big Amigo are clearly a quality team. They executed clever strategic and tactical manuevers. I congratulate them on a game very well played.
There were quite a few times when I thought we could lose this one. The game could have gone either way depending upon the turn you were looking at it. We were just fortunate enough to prevail. As Rog posted earlier, this was a classic match by two strong teams. I hope the games any of you join have the same intensity, challenges, and enjoyment.
As I noted the opposition, I must also commend my teammates. Boevoipes held out a long time against stacked odds in a strong Fanatic/DoRW rush, Overlord delayed advances by Gueritol long enough to allow my assault on Big Amigo to succeed, Fulcrum0 was all over the map helping everyone to be better, and Pimp was a super attacker with his knights. Well done team!

| Posted : Thursday, 17 February 2005 - 02:04 Not sure if I enjoyed this game to be honest, because I've never lost so much sleep over a game of WoL ever before. This was a hardcore game, I think we need to rest for about a year now heh.
For some reason that sense of relief I was expecting is not here yet, probably because there's a much tougher fight ahead.
Kudos to FSA for a well played match and gratz to my clan mates on the suberb win, gg. | | Lons Joined 24/01/2003 Posts : 456

Well done.. well done...
I can see it's an intense fight just purely reading from the forum here.. Even though not much information is being offer but I can see from how the castle was being overtaken that this is one very close and intense game
Well done BOS for being the better team | | Fanatic Joined 12/01/2003 Posts : 1148
| Posted : Thursday, 17 February 2005 - 03:31 Yes a very close game. Even with Crovax and BA gone I still held some hope of turning the game around, though slim I knew that chance was. If boe had fallen 3 to 4 turns earlier DoRW probably wouldn't have lost his castle (curse you boe )
I'm having a hard time deciding who to nominate from BOS for MVP. It's between boe and Corflu. boe for standing against very hard odds against him as long as he did, or Corflu for pretty much driving the BOS victory with his defeating Crovax and BA, and then gueritol. I realize he had help with each of those, but he was the primary force at each castle siege. | | Rog Ironfist Joined 8/04/2003 Posts : 1449

Beyond the fields across the glens, in lands that swim in shadow There lived a race of evil men, their acts caused only sorrow Within their caves they plot and plan, how goodness to destroy To spread the evil of their clan, all others to annoy
They flamed and raved in self esteem, their egos filled the night Addled brains and slightly dim, so called amigos full of tripe Threats they made with wicked glee, their empirez built of bones Yet talk is cheap and boasting free, they turned to be just DoRKs
They foamed and ranted months on end, mouths bigger than their hearts To kill and maim and shields to bend, on everyone to fart But in their daze and chants they missed, to really look at what’s ahead On the wrong patch they have pissed, awakening BoS instead
With many words they marched to war, but silently put down Thus FSA were shown the door, and kicked right out of town They even tried to blend right in, to hide among the braves Yet measly tactics failed to bring, salvation to the knaves
The BoS have the made their wishes known, with no uncertain terms To squash the talkers to the stone, eradicate the germs This fight will live in many tales, and now its’ time to dance And say to all the clans that failed, there still might be a chance
Don’t talk the talk but walk the walk, let friendship and some hope prevail Don’t draw your enemies in chalk, before you catch their tails This is but one of many fights, and many more remain As BoS will try to set things right, and keep you entertained.

At this point the game is over. The fight was a mighty one and some of the moves so subtle that lesser beings like myself wouldn’t even understand them. From the screenies I saw, I believe this was one of the highest quality games ever played in WOL. But subtlety and top quality tactics were closely followed by un-paralleled ruthlessness. This was one ferocious game.
Praise go to FSA for their top notch game play, especially to Fanatic and Gueritol for surviving a long time under strenuous conditions. If we meet again in future games, BoS will continue to give FSA the highest of regards and consideration.
BoS has this time done a great job and most praise go to Corflu, our elected General who brilliantly manoeuvred this victory. He not only orchestrated all our fighting moves, but also performed brilliantly on the battlefield himself. Respect also goes to Fulcrum, the wily coyote which despite being located at the weakest centre castle in the game, managed to be everywhere, every time. Kudos also go to Overlord for surviving the loss of his castle, Boevoipes for clutching life with formidable fangs, long enough to assist BoS’ victory and PimpInDistress for his surgical attacks that collapsed the enemy defences over and over. Special thanks also go to Kagemusha for braving Mrs.Fulcrum’s anger, when he had to call Fulc’s home at the small hours of the night and remind him to make his moves.
Thanks to everyone for this great game.
