You know, you've got to be one of the first new players to try making his very own clan... probably before you've ever battled, maybe before joining a campain, and perhaps even before reading the manual. you've never even posted in the forums before this. that takes guts! you are clearly born to lead.

Apparently, since a clan called THE MASHEE has not been created, and he's defining it as a "rogue" clan, I'd say it's safe to say, at least for now, that this will be a sort of secret gang-banging society.

When I try to discourage new players from making new clans (which, LOD, they shouldn't do...) I try to do it in a polite, reasonable way. Sarcasm just makes you look like a jackass.

I think I should type out my whole lecture on how you should play the game for a while before creating a new clan, and have Req make it a sticky thread

yes. it could have been refering either to me or Hosh-i, it has multiple posible meanings.

I knew something fun would happen if I just left that comment up over the day. The sarcasticness I have protrayed in my previous response was wholely for the benifit of seeing the reaction of this incredibly predictable and humorous community. You guys are great... hehe. "don't scare the new player away" haha... you know, he doesn't even know why he should be offended, you had to go and tell him! naw, I don't even think I was that offensive either, I truely did want to know where he found out about WoL....

Hoshi, if you were offended, because you know now that what I said was sarcastic, I apologize for my rude behavior! note however, that most new players don't stay, so odds were you'd never see this... so if you stick around, welcome. I'm usually not like this at all, but I find the issue of new players humorous, the ENTIRE community is shrinking, new players are our most rare resource, of course all the players here are going to strike me down when I threaten that resource! MWUA HA HA HA HA!!!! hehe...

This is not directed at anyone in particular:

I feel that anyone who really likes this game enough, and respects the community as well, will stick around to learn the nuances of both. New players with a sincere interest to spend some time are always both invited & welcomed.

My apologies if I sounded sarcastic or unwelcoming, but we've all seen the clutter caused by new people creating clans and entering clan games in their first days.

With the new announcement by Fanatic in this forum, "Clan Queues Cleared", hopefully most of those problems are behind us.

Once again, my apologies to any and welcome to all.
