Perhaps there could be a version of WOL to download onto the local network so I can play with friends when they come over and slaught- i mean teach them the basics? That way I could not only get them interested, (they always say oh, it sounds interesting but I'm not so sure whether I want to or not... and leave it at that.) but completely addicted and able to play semi-well before they decide to come online.

no, thats not possible.

perhaps one day would could have a stripped down Battle flash file which would allow people to get an idea of how it works, but i dont think so.

most of the code is server-side ASP or database code. You cant really replicate that easily in Flash alone.

Tell them they will forever be "girlie-men" in your eyes until they fight you in WoL.

I was just adjusting my brastrap and putting on a little make-up, does that mean I'm a girly-man? My high-heels are making it hard to battle, and it IS that time of the month for me....

..........nah, I'm all Mog.

PS A "legacy"version of this game would be neat when the new version arrives. It will be nearly bug-free by then...hee hee.
