Requim you should make it to where you get resources for the buildings every half an hour

Ultra games already have 2 hour turns. Half hour turns would make it impossible to leave the computer.

1.5 hrs turns means no sleep for 180 hrs in a 120 turn game, who can manage that? Already the 6 hr turns scare most away

resources are gather every turn if u in a campgame its every 12 hrs if ur in a fast game its every 6 hrs just make sure to take over ur extra buildings and repair them and upgrade them...

Maybe he means the resources gathered each turn should be divided by the hourly length of the turn so that some resources are added to our total each hour or 2. He may have said 1.5 hours thinking it would solve the problem of dividing 100 by 12 but it isn't necessary.
Instead we can get a few extra resources by rounding to the whole.
If he means what I mean I like the idea because there are times when a few resources are needed to build before the next turn so the benefit of the building can be had next turn plus it can give something extra to do during the turn.

I think this is a good idea. If we get MP and BP on the hour, why not resources?

First, I dont know how this suggestion makes the game easier.

When posting new threads, PLEASE make sure the topic actually matches the post. This thread makes no mention of "making the game easier" and this suggestion certainly does not in any way.


Secondly, doesnt this suggestion do what we are trying to prevent? ie, giving advantages to those who log in more often per turn.

With this sort of change, I see many more people logging in multiple times per turn to get that extra ticks worth of reseources they've been waiting for.

Of course giving those who simply cannot log in often, a huge disadvantage compared to those that can.


The issue of BP% and MP regenerating per tick is another issue that I am actually trying to fix. Why would i want to make resource generation have the same problems?

I don't know if this would make a whole lot of difference for veteran players who know in advance how they're going to develop their country, but I can definitely see where it could hurt inexperienced or undisciplined players a great deal. Such as building too many smaller units and therefore extra Military Academies, and never teching because they're always broke.

It would give new players that much more to get a handle on, while making it easier for others to "newb-bash".

Well just to make a distinction there is a difference between "easier to play" and "easier to learn". I haven't ever thought the game was difficult to learn
and I could "take or leave" this idea as far as the merit of it;
but I do think that the actual title of it is worth more than the idea.

PS:
Perhaps "beginner games" and even early low level games could be made "easier to learn by making them easier to play" (i.e. give the new players more resources and gold per turn, etc.(i.e. lower the level of difficulty for them)).

woah woah you guys got me all wrong all wrong

if you want to have fun why not make it a little bit more challenging

besides the fact of getting resources faster is not really a big advantage in other online games i have played i was the slowest resource collector but that did not stop me from winning nope.

i dont think really ANYONE would be able to check every 30 min. plus i think the server WOULD be just a little busy and i dont think there would be room for about 1,000+ players every 30 min

48 turns a day...and if you go without sleep for a weekend, you'll regret it

The only really viable possibility is a turn a minute for a 2 hour game, and that would just flatten the server

I don't think we should discourage ANY suggestions from ANY player, and certainly not gloat about a rejected suggestion as you've seemed to enjoy doing.

Many players without substanial WOL game experience make suggestions at times, that us, with more experience, can easily comment on and contribute reasons for or against their suggestion.

I think the current 'delivery' of resources once per turn is a better way that acquiring an amount hourly per the game speed. A way of looking at that process would be that the resources are 'delivered' to the kingdom's store houses for use at intervals (turns), just as it requires time for 'training' new troops for the army.
