It seems everyone who is level 1 can create a clan. To be totally blunt and honest, these clans are without exception useless.

People join the game, create a clan, post a thread on the clan forum, and then dissapear, or get upset when we tell them to wait with creating their clan.

If level 1 players can join a clan, but not create one, and it is explicitly told so on the clan pages, people might consider joining a clan before creating one.

I totally agree with Eg.

This creates further problems. New comers who usually see the benefits of being in a clan from other games and expect to be immediately followed. They don’t get that here and then either leave or fabricate other players, which leads to further gangbangs or game fouls.

Personally, I think that there should be a minimum level limit to create a clan which should consist of an aggregated score (level of both battles and campaigns, thus allowing those who want to play only one type to create a clan. So if we require a minimum aggregate of level 20, a player would need either level 20 in one category or level 10 in both. Either way, they will have enough knowledge/understanding of game mechanics to understand what clans are for.

I completely agree. To create a Clan is NOT for newbie.

I think even that it should be higher.
If you're going to be the leader of the clan, you should have been around, so maybe even level 20+ and at least 3 months in WOL.

I think that might take it a little too far.

Next thing we know, the qualifications to be a clan leader will be to have an aggregate level of over 100, no fewer than 2000 posts in the forums, over 3 years playing WOL, no purple or pink colours and an official mental illness certificate.

Before you know it, only Sage6 is allowed to be clan leader and we're all his subjects.

Hang on,... isn't it how it is right now?

We should have limitations but they should balance encouragement and experience, so in my view, an aggregate of level 20 should suffice.

Rog, it's hard to be at level 20 and not be here for at least a month...well maybe not since 1-40 games last so short due to quitters and innactives.

I feel very strongly both ways. But seriously, aggregate level 20 seems VERY reasonable to me. Personally I wouldn't even try to get in a clan until level 40 myself, let alone start one.

You ARE in a clan

I said level 2 so that a newb has had at least one game experience, and stuck around longer than 2 days.

Level 20 is fine by me as well. 2 is just the minimum

Egregius, Graywolfe is in NTC (newbie training clan).

This is a clan started (I believe) by Raptor to assist players in learning clan tactics....it's not a regular clan.

not really clan game tactics, but as more knowledge of the game than the manual leaves out and many are active but just lost in what to do or just simple things that u learn as u advance in the game i just thought i would give them some knowledge and help them be better players, so they can make or join other clans with a good base of knowledge so we can have more players with more skills kick butt in this game...
