I just downloaded Firefox and am loving it, but when the map page here on WOL opens, the background terrain(grass, swamp, rough etc.) stays black. The mountains, trees, castle, armies,
resources etc. still show, so it is just a minor problem. But how do I fix this?

This happens to me every once in a while with IE, and I simply refresh the map and the terrain pops up (you could also try closing the window and opening it again).

Did you, by any chance, utilize the Local Downloads .zip file when you were using IE?

I use that to speed up map refreshes and such, but that makes it so that when I log on from different computers, the background terrain is black, just like you said. Maybe FireFox doesn't know where your files are?

Req upgraded or changed the maps some time back. If you are using the local downloads change back to the server and the map will be back. I suppose that if you download the maps again you will get the updates and they will probably work right again.

I downloaded the maps again, but it still refuses to load terrain. Also closing and restarting the page does not help.

Go to the modify account page and make the local download box blank. So you use the web files. Then try the maps again. see if this fixes the problem. You may have to use the web files.
