Fixes :

- Fixed Towers so anyone can enter an empty one. Ownership no longer matters.
- Castle Towers now start on the inside 4 corners of the Castle (protected by the walls).

Additions :

- Added 2 more Outpost Range techs. All 3 techs increase Outpost range by +2 allowing range from 10 to 16 hexes.
- Increased default troop view range to 9.
- Added 3 new Troop View Range techs giving +1 view range each.
- Changed Resource & Troop production to be TICK based instead of TURN based. So you now get a % of your troops/resources every hour(tick) instead of 100% once per turn.
- Added a bunch of new Master level Techs, including Weapons, Armor, Building techs & Income techs. Check the Online Manual for the full list of techs.
- You must be Campaign Level 20 or above to create a new Clan.

anyway, cant see the empire and govn too,and most of the online manual need to be updated
for example,this tech

Gold Gems Metal Stone Wood

Yeah Req, I think that that came up, maybe a year ago? and another year before that etc that shields is a great tech, but isn't actually there. Similar to how stone shielding was listed but not there. Otherwise, great additions. Really puts a premium on knocking someone out early to get enough resources to afford things like market tribute (which definitely pays out if you have it long enough) and especially master armor and weapons. 20000 gold is expensive, and 4000 metal is extremely hefty.

Good stuff!

Just found that when you purchase Market Tribute 1 is lists the info for Resourse Generation on your income page, and those are different numbers (less) than Market Tribute is listed at.

i have seen stone shielding it appears after wood panneling...i think? great stuff req....pretty expensive on some of the things but i guess it is better for some people to simply only be able to get it once their empire is advanced enough right?i dont like the tower idea...if it applies to towers outside the castle...sure why not but the ones inside...not cool.

again great stuff...i didnt even come here and see i saw them when in the tech page...i loved it

master traing not worth it for heavy calv.lay out all that gold and it produces 5 instead of 4...isn't 50% of 4=2 and 4+2=6 or did they change the rules on me again

its worth it in the long term
its 50% to the early production without all the training
we got only 2 without all the training but 3 tech means 50% X3=150%
so,production is 2+150%=5

I fear those updates will favorize the already wining player. If you can afford to buy them, you normally have already an overwhelming superiority! I enjoy the change about towers tough.

Ultima, yes stone shielding exists, but for a very long time it didn't, but was listed in the manual.

btw, getting 5 HC will be nice, if and when I can afford the master training, because then at least you can always deploy the HC you get each turn.

I give it a couple days for the tower idea to go sour

When I put the proposal for the techs up, I was careful to make sure they generally had a slow reward period. That is, by the time you are paid back, you will probably have won your 1st war ANYWAY

it has it good parts and bad parts. the bad part is that now u "can't" defend ur castle like u used to. now u have to build walls to protect ur towers. and the good part is that u can take someones castle easier.

I don't care for this change to towers either. The towers in your castle can now be a hinderment to its defense. Perhaps a modification that towers on a castle slab can only be entered by the slab owner?

maybe make them easier to take over(take over protection)? and i also think that we should be able to take over drawbridges again.

I agree with fanatic, it's a very weak spot on the castle.

Frantic beat me to it. I defintely agree that towers in castles should be only enterable by that castle's owner. Otherwise there is no way to close up your castle without removing at least two of the initial towers. Another possible fix would be to allow building on roads, then you could finish walling up you castle's towers. But the problem with that would be that you would have to have drawbridges, or you wouldn't be able to exit or enter your own castle. So personally I think that towers being open to anyone is a decent idea, except that towers on castle tiles should only be open to the owner of said castle.

Maybe a better suggestion (and this thread should probably go to that forum) is a redesign of the castle so the towers are inside the walls and positioned in the corners as well?
