Ok I was bored the other day, then I read Mogs thread which complained that we need a clan tut. So here we go, a quick and dirty clan FAQ.

What is a clan?

A clan is a collection of friends who play WOL under a common clan name.

Are clan games just for clan matches?

Yes, that is what they are there, If you aren’t in a clan you should not be in a clan game, unless invited.

Do I need to be in a clan?

No, clans are only required for clan games.

Do clans offer services to members?

Some may, it varies, many have websites and forums, and experienced players in a clan
usually offer training to less experienced players.

Is there a max to how many members a clan can have?

There is a max of 10 members if I remember correctly.

Do clans have any effect in normal games(excluding clan games)?

No, if you feel you are falling foul of clan members who are abusing this rule post a thread in the general chitchat, and see what other players think.

How do I join a clan?

Ask the clan leader of the particular clan, if you can join. However before you go rampant and ask every single clan leader if you can join they’re clan, I would suggest you a) learn your way round WOL before joining a clan or b) join the ntc(newbie training clan). Also be sociable as people are gona be a lot more likely to let you join they’re clan if they actually know who you are.

How do I create a clan?

Firstly you need a campaign level of 20+, then click the link under “whos online” called “show clans” at the bottom of the page should be a link to create a clan if you aren’t already in 1.

Can I be in more than 1 clan?

No.

How do I get into clan games?

First you need to disable your active scripting. Then you need to type in this address waronline.net/home/egame.asp?gid=NNN
Where nnn is replaced by a number, depending on the game, here’s a list of the games and they’re relevant numbers:

Here is a quick FAQ about clan games...

Q. Since I can join any clan game I want, should I?

A. Hell, no!!!! If your clan has not scheduled a clan game stay out of their que. We have a limited amount clan games and if you stick your stinky butt in all the ques, then real clans that want to play a real clan game can't.
