I have buildings in range of my cat's and I have upgraded outposts that allow me to see the buildings, but it won't let me destroy them, what is up?
Why make the range look bigger if it doesn't truly work?

There is a bug with visual range for purposes of looking at unit AS/DS/Health and targeting things with catapults. You will need to build an outpost (or move a unit) to within 8 spaces of the target you wish to destroy.

That needs to be fixed then.
I was in a perfect position. I had defensive walls up on two sides of the other players castle. With upgraded outposts, I could see all of the inside of his castle. My cats had range to the barracks and everything, but then I can't hit it.
My entire plan is a waste of resources because of this bug.

I know that somewhere out there is a player who loves to detail all of the facts.
What is the REAL range of cats (despite what the grey area says). Does moving another army closer to the target allow cats to hit from the rage that is shown (grey)? If so, how close does the other army need to get to the target?

zorg, here's a few things I've noted with my recent experience with catapults.

In all cases...cats can not hit ANYTHING unless you have another army within 'seeing' range of your target...outposts will not work, even with upgrades.

Maximum range (in most cases) seems to be 10 NOT 11. I've only been able to attack range 11 buildings once or twice, so far ONLY IF the target is on a direct line from the cats.

ATM, towers are exempt from attacks from catapults...something that needs to be corrected ASAP.

I've got cats in two of my active games...if you have any situation that I can duplicate on the field, we'll give it a try and see what the result is.

Thanks Sugar! What is 'seeing range' now? If you purchase the upgrade on 'seeing range' for armies I wonder if that works or not.

Again, only my experience here...but it seems the extra one hex to 9 doesn't work for targeting objects with the cats, so far I've had to have a troop within 8 spaces to effect an attack.
That would make sense, since the extra sight given to outposts through upgrades doesn't work either, yes, you do receive the extra sight...but you still can't attack what you 'see' without a troop within 8 spaces.
