Is there anybody who has joined the game within the last couple of days and actually played? If you have, please respond to this post.

My daughter just tried to create an account and she did not get her password e-mailed to her. The forgot password page is also not functioning properly.

If this is not just a problem with our computer, then no new players are able to join WoL successfully at this time and it would be one possible explanation for some people trying to create several new accounts on the same day.

Anybody have any ideas? My daughter really wants to get on here and kick some butt.

Apperantly there are players that joined today at least , I checked some lvl 1 So maybe the problem is with your computer?

I just created a test account to see if this was true .. (thisisnotreallymal .. well hidden, no? )

I haven't recieved an email or anything either.

First time the page didn't send, the second time it said there was already an account with that name (so it went through the first time, just didnt tell me?)

No email though.. Will wait a little while to see if this is still the problem.

From the time I spent online observing yesterday, it appears that anybody who creates a new account shows up on the online list as lvl 1:1 with no active game. This happens when they establish their account. They are shown as being active in WoL for 15 minutes until they drop off the online player list. They never get their password in their e-mail and can never actually join a game or campaign...or post in a forum. The last actual new player who I verified with an active password started on April 8th. If there is anybody actually playing after that...especially from the 10th until now...please post here.

Of course, looking at the names, you can see that there has been numerous attempts to join under variations of the name they had originally wanted

On a sadder note, the numbers by the month are retention of people that are playing based on the month they signed up (this is for the last year, and numbers get worse if you go further back):

Thanks Mal! I know he will fix this one as fast as he can. We cannot afford to lose new players to computer errors.

I hope he will be able to get some back when/if they actually get their passwords during the fix.

It's fixed, btw .. Figured Req woulda posted that, but he didn't :-)

And yeah .. they wont get their passwords resent to them (coz of the sheer number, and he would have had to have done it manually)
But the Forgot Password email is fixed, so if any of them were serious about joining the game, they will have their chance now :-)
