hey this is a noob and i cant join any battles.

i have a pop-up blocker but it wont show any join game shortcuts when i click on ENTER GAME.

please respond.

You need to allow popups here.
Mog has a great help link on the homepage for battles.

I tried entering a battle and it appears that they are all occupied at novice and practice levels.
I'm at low level on battles myself so I would have to start at novice level.

If that is the problem I suggest that you queue into a "campaign game" and hopefully you can get started playing there.

PS:
I don't know if that is the problem you are having but I suspect it is and I will suggest more novice level battles be added.

I'm new also, but no games have been open for the last few days, or is that just me?

However, you're going to have a bit of trouble with the pop-up build menu. I still can't figure that out.

Yes, I know how to access the games, I was just worried that I was just accessing them wrong. The links didn't work for me though .

Well as far as I can tell, the "Novice battles" do seem to be all taken again except there does seem to be a problem now with two of them.
One seems to be getting ready to start with no players and one doesn't seem to be accessible.
