What Are Buildings For?

Buildings have many different roles in game depending on the type of building.
There are defensive buildings like Walls and Towers, resource generating buildings like Woodmills and Mines, and of course military buildings like a Castle or Barracks.

Each building has a specific task which is then up to you to integrate into your empires strategy.

What Buildings Are Available?

There are many buildings available, each empire class having its own set.
Once you have chosen the class of your empire, you can refer to the Buildings menu links associated with your selected class for a full list of buildings available to you.

Where Can I Build?

You can essentially build anywhere on the map with only a few exceptions.
Some terrains, like water and sand, cannot be built on.
You also need commanding type armies (eg Commandeers) nearby to build.

How Do I Build?

From the Flash map, simply click on an empty square next to one of your commanding armies (eg Commandeers). Depending on the size of the building you wish to build, you may have to click right next to your army, or one or two squares away.

The rule is simply that the building cannot overlap your army, but must end up next to your army.

Buildings larger than 1x1 are always placed on the map with the top/left of the building positioned on the selected land square. As seen in the image, the red-outlined grey square is where I could click to build a 2x2 or 2x3 building.

When clicking on the location, if within range of your army, a BUILD button will appear.
Clicking BUILD will bring up the build window, where you can see all the buildings available to you, building costs, building size and build times. Select the building you wish to build and click the Build button. The building is then placed on the map.

Are There Any Build Restrictions?

There are several conditions that could prevent you from building a new building on a block of land.
  • The building MUST end up next to your building-army.
  • The building CANNOT be within 3 squars of any other players Army.
  • The land MUST be empty.
  • You cannot build on Water, Sand, Roads, Rubble or Bloody Remains.
  • Your army must have at least 40% BattlePoints, and you must have the resources to build the building.

    How Long Does It Take?

Each building is different. The number of troops in your building-army also effects the build times.
In the build window, each building will have a BUILD % value. This is how many BattlePoints that army requires overall to build the building.
Should the value exceed 100% or however many BattlePoints your army has, then you can still build that building, however it will take several attempts to complete the building. (Same action as a repair).

Once a building is complete (at 100%), it will become ACTIVE on the next Turn update.

    Can I Repair Damaged Buildings?

Any building can be repaired by moving one of your commanding armies (eg Commandeers) next to the damaged building.
Then clicking on the building, it will provide a Repair button.
Simply click on the repair button and the repair screen will be shown outlining the cost of the repairs.

    Can I Remove My Buildings?

You can remove your own buildings at any time, so long as there are no enemy armies nearby (within 3 sqrs).
Removing the building gives you back 1/3 of the purchase price in resources, and leaves behind piles of rubble.
