you can whine and bitch and moan all you want sure...but people who come to help with the bugs usually find their time wasted when this is something the site administrator should be worrying about...its not an automated system... he has a life and you complaining about it here wont help you...your even wasting your time posting the virus here...its not a bug keep sending him messages hell get back to you eventually.

OK its a fact...they are there...have they eaten anyone's computer yet?have they crashed anyone's computer yet?no...like i said sometimes anti-viruses read pieces of coding as viruses when they are not.

You cant get help fixing it because in reality you yourself cant fix it.only he can. if you could fix it we wouldnt need him to do it and WE could legitimately help you.

Well obviously people like me cannot help him...he barely knows half of us.Why should he trust us with one of his projects if he barely knows us. Also he is doing this with minimum contributions from the players...he does not get tens of thousands of dollars to keep this site running...he gets DONATIONS he does not get PAYED. Also this is a beta version of the game there are supposed to be bugs...its our job as players in this community to report them and assist others in their issues.That is what is being done, you have been given suggestions.

Of course he has been inactive in fixing them but that does not mean you should call him inept simply because there is one clear mistake being made here.(the virus is not necessarily clear )

This is not a suggestion box really and your post was not a suggestion but a plea.

UB raises a good point. You donated some money. That doesn't make you special nor does it mean that Req has to give you the same customer support he does if he were actually selling this.

Now, I'm pretty sure I have seen someone with a gold medal thing next to their name that donated after you did. So maybe you should email req again. It's possible things got lost or he never received your money etc.

The bottom line is, if you want to get this settled, you'll have to take it up with him directly.

As for this virus thing... my virus software hasn't found anything in the active scripting. If you've got an overly protective firewall or virus program they could freak out over nothing.

And finally, I should point out that the original message of Llyod's was something along the lines of the following:

"No, I paid for this. I can post where I want and I'm not going to leave."

So I ask you again Doctor, is this your multi?

We have another thread on this.. 'Porn Ads'
Adware and Spyware, can be recognized as Viruses alot of the times by Anti-Virus programs.. Req came on IRC the other day and told us he was going to get rid of the Ad Banners, along with doing some server maintenance..
The Viruses showing up are probably from the Ad Banners, and will go away when they are gotten rid of..

P.S.: I believe Ad Banners are necessary and great, they allow the site to keep going.. But maybe it should be the kind w/ out all the ad programs?

first, i never called titonator anything.
My "overly protective firewall" has blocked installation of controls from waronline that contain both mentioned viruses.
Ad/spyware was responsible for the crash of my last harddrive. And i dont give a rat's ass about the 'globe',
i just want to play more than 3 games at a time.
I'm posting about a 'bug' in the 'bug' forums. when i try to mail Req, the site tries to install a mail program. Gee, i guess i should trust a download.

Of course its not the site's fault that Windows sets up your mail client as default for outlook express...or maybe that was the server(so i might be wrong in that one)...what you actually have to do to email him though is a tad bit different just take that same link at the bottom and right click it... select properties and copy what is next to it...ill give it to you actually.

The Doctor seems to have a legitimate complaint. He isn't just making up stuff to have something to complain about.

Getting your gold medal means more games and he deserves to get what he paid for. Requiem takes too long to respond to people sending him money. I had to ask him to upgrade me by email myself, but he did do it promptly when I asked.

As to the virii, I use a Macintosh, a superior computer. Nobody bothers to write virii for Macs because the hackers all use PCs and a virus for a Mac wouldn't mess up as many machines. Switch to a Mac.

Requiem should make tracking down potential virus installation a priority if for no other reason than to keep people on the site in his own self-interest. I wish he had more time to spend on this game.

It is a beta-version, but it has been one for 5 years...when does the Alpha version happen?

A bug is a game related error. A virus is a computer related problem. Both need to be fixed.

Doctor Feudal, please do try emailing Req about your status and the virus, he does respond eventually. It's aggravating, I realize, but he does have other issues in his life to deal with so please have some sympathy for him, I'm sure you have issues in your life that prevent you from doing everything you would like to do, too.

Well Doctor, my orginal point was that emails do get lost or overlooked, so it won't hurt to email him again.

Also, as UB pointed out, the link at the bottom of the page doesn't download anything. It just opens Outlook Express, the default email program that comes with windows.

If you don't use Outlook Express you can move your mouse over that link and in the status bar you'll see the email address. In this case it's alex@waronline.net

EDITED to Add: Oh and if this isn't what you're talking about, please tell me how you're trying to connect to Req...
