You know, if you mess up, it just goes down a level and you are prompted to hit start again. There is just the penalty of having to work through the lower level again, it isn't cheating.

Also, the reason I put it up on here was for you guys to break it, which you seem to have done. I want it to work perfectly before I brag about it! Keep finding problems or just ask for improvements and just like Req, I may or may not act on them.

Also just so everyone knows ... using number association in your head is not cheating. I almost got to level seven if I can just get a little quicker to associate.

I found the problem. In fact, I found two while looking!

The one that was messing it up at level ten or above was a spelling mistake, instead of twelveth I had "ywelveth" . Pretty simple, but I had to look at every dern line of code in all the places it hides in Flash to find it! However, had I not known about it, the game would have been imperfect and useless for my purposes. Thanks for finding it.

The other code flaw I found was so awful that I can't understand how the game ran at all. It's too complicated to bother to describe but it makes me aware of how little error checking the Flash compiler does. In other compilers there is no way I could have made either of these errors. Oh well.

To check this bug I had to make a button to get me up to level ten and then I used the paper method to cheat. And I had no idea how easy it would be to get to the top level immediately with that method. Since this game is really aimed at a very young audience I suspect it wouldn't be common to try to do this but you may feel kinda ripped off when you get to the top level, I really need to make it more rewarding, sorry!

And I want to know who can get the highest without the paper method!

Go ahead and cheat, but don't yell at me when you get there, it really isn't a great prize yet...

With Req's help I built a preloader for the game, it works much better to my way of thinking. Now there is a black screen with a percentage loaded shown and now I can tart it up as much as I like, including a button to enter the game so folks have time to absorb the splash screen.
