I have been practicing some stuff lately, and trying to figure out what best troops to start out wiht. At first, i went for all 4 types, but now, only 1!
crazy? maybe.
i always go with 4 types of scouts for a reason
scouts are fast and have a good enough attack to defend me or even assult an enemy. How do i get commandeers? If you notice the games you play, most of teh time you get between 1 and 3 commandeers automatically! so for all of you that start out with commandeers, dont worry about them, just get more attack power, it works excelent!
let me know if you have any thoughts to add to this, i am still new to the game!

Recently, Req changed the 'starting lineup' and you receive two armies of comms each game. I normally choose three slots of scouts and one of comms when I begin a game. Two armies of comms aren't enough.

Sugar, your statement of "two armies of comms aren't enough" is that considering, that from not long ago other than comms (for example fast moving cavs) can take over buildings?
How fast can a cav (10) take over a mine or simmilar???

Great minds think alike, eh. That is ALWAYS my starting lineup. And were ranked #1 and #3 in campaign games??

Amen, BigAmigo...but as you see others think differently..which is good I guess, we'll stay on top!

gueritol, you CAN takeover 'unknown' buildings with other troops, but you can't repair them.

What if they are all spearman looking to smear other people scouts? I would say go all militia then :p

If it's an ultra, go all commandeers and try to grab a couple of castles before all your neighbours go inactive

I don't want to say that one two or no comms is best because the game changes are too recent. I've started 3 games using different strategies so i'll see what happens.

BTW what's happening with Game 73? I saw 35 playes once but the game didn't started and then the number decreased i think now there are no more players left to join that game Should we all quit the game?

might be that some players quit the game at turn 0. then it doesn't count towards your ranking.

personally, i think that rule sucks. people join the game only to leave when they don't get a good position on the map. perhaps Req should make maps with islands so these guys feel safe

a demolition ship for suicidal attacks
a transport..
a fishing boat.. for getting food err.. gold!
an Arc to save us all when the great flood happens.

I did the "all attack troops" thing once expecting the two commandeer armies...
only got one

Spent first few turns deperatly trying to defend unknown buildings while my comms hobbled round ducking spears and taking over stuff

2 scouts,1 comm,1 militia (you can never be too sure)
