Well any new bugs which crop up that aren't explicitly in the list above will have to be fair game (or else we will get into a "I don't think that's a bug - yes it is" flame war.

I would consider the above attacking of units a bug for example, albeit an inconsequential one since presumably it still uses BP just as it would if you had waited till hour 1 - so no advantage is gained by it. The reason I would consider it a bug is because you can't take piles or take over resources on turn 0, so by extension of that you shouldn't be able to attack things either.

We at `discordia` promise not to attack any more Barbs on turn 0 for the rest of the game.

Imo it's inconsequential too.If you think about it Cheyenne's archers must have used all their move to get in range and obviously attacked under 90% strength, thus missing any attack bonus.Had they waited a couple of hours into turn 1 the attack would have been more effective.

Yes I agree. If you attack another barb on turn 0 again this game I will have to protest.

I thought, we were going to play by the rules. But Orionstinks just destroyed a gem pile from 2 spaces away.

I guess some people can't be trusted.

bleh. While I am confident we would win. I didn't expect to get a win by default on turn 3. *shrug*

Just to be sure, could this be one of those cases where he had enough BP to strike, and then move out???

Or was it a "clean" break of the rules?

Yeah, unlike takeovers, attacks often leave you with some MP.

Raptor, sent me a SS, and while it does depend on how long orionstinks was sitting there. But it was our speculation that he didn't have enough mp.

depending on the actions of the scout in question, if it helped to take over the nearby quarry <which the SS I have doesn't show the quarry>. or if the scout went somewhere else first to get a resource pile, then it is unlikely to have extra MP. This is especially true if the scout helped take over the quarry. maybe we will have to have rap move to see if the quarry.. when I get home, I will post the SS. if Orion removed one of his walls, and went straight for it, then he would have already had the piles, so that isn't likely to have happened. especially where being in the middle, removing any walls, is asking to be killed faster.

Out of all of us orion definitely gets online the least, unlike us micromanagers,so I'm inclined to believe he had enough MP left to move away.Inversely,If he was on every couple of hours then he'd not be leaving himself much MP and I'd suspect the worst...Hopefully I won't be waiting half the day for a reply from him.

dont worry about it. One gem pile surely can not set the outcome of this game. But this is why I suggested that we should play by the tourney free-use-of-bugs rule.

Aye thanks, and you're probably right on all counts, but after rehabilitating a defiant orion from his max pop habit which he'd used against me in an earlier game(when it was first discovered) and then taking him into the fold I'll be understandably disconsolate if he's relapsed into bug abuse.

*wails*
Oh Orion,I took you into `discordia`,brought you up as my own, like the son tarim never had and now is this how you repay me?Tell me it's not so,tell me I've no need to hang my head in shame and...what?...don't worry about it?...oh,ok then.

Not my game...but I'm curious, How is it that using your archers in turn 0 to attack unknowns would be considered bug abuse?

Only in clan games.Your initial starting troops are comms, scouts, militia, spears and archers, although archers don't appear in your barracks..

Not just a clan game thing. Ever since the queue system you no longer get to pick your starting troops. Instead you start with 1 stack each of spear, milita, scouts, archers. Then 2 stacks of comms still.

well I was just thining like this. In turn 0 you cant take over anything, attack piles, tech up, deploy, so why can you attack barbs? Sounds to me like, bug.
