This is a Trojan virus, it is bieng uploaded to our computers through a certain popup... i have removed it 3x, and have a warning box that comes up when it is downloaded to my computer, i have several VIrus scanners.... and three times i noticed my Browser (while only playing Waronline NOTHING else) it goes "pop up blocked" and then i see "VIRUS DETECTED!! SCAN NOW" from my virus blocker.... this is the 3rd time the same thing has happend and ONLY when playing waronline, i have tracked this and its from one of the add popups...

Req you need to do something NOW. If you guys without pop up blockers can find out which pop up actually is causing hte virus it will help.

I got a trojan from war online once too. But since I sownloaded service pack 2 (i think) for windows xp auto update thing, it blocks 90% of the waronline popups

also my spyway killing program removed an installed ad server that I got somewhere (not sure where)...

the 2 things combined has kept the trojan away from me.

I dont know if it came from war online pop ups or the installed ad server program... either way... i think the pop ups are a risk to players and before the new windows update came out it royally annoyed me... I could see players migrating from war online because of pop ups. (not me... I PAID $$ so I dont plan to leave!! u cant make me!! im like the flu!! hahaha!! jk)

isnt there a better way to make $$ req? I know the game needs $$ and its only fair to you to recieve compensation for your time on this project... but dayum!

yeap...i had it last time too...norton is just a piece of ****...it keeps telling me tat theres virus in my pc...and after tat told me tat it cant do anything about it...and not onli once...!!!....for countless time until i reformat it....so now i`m using sum other anti virus thingy instead

yep, I just got it now too. McAfee cleaned it right up for me as soon as it happened.

Norton wont get rid of it but you dont have to reformat!!

If you want to spent $40 you can get the program I have. Its a spyware removal thing and its great... I got it and had 188 spys and wouldnt block the new ones but the 3rd update fixed ALL that! I ended up erasing over 200 spyware files with it and I dont get ANY anymore

It also erased the Trojan that norton couldnt

for most of us in the US $40 is about a day's pay after taxes... for those who work 8 hours... I usually work 10 to 18 hours a day 6 days a week but its slow now with the holidays.

I think most americans pay about 28% of their pay in taxes and pre-tax for average pay rate is about $60 a day so take home is something like 40-45 a day. Its not enough to live on though!

I think I may have found it.

on one of those pop ups there is a torjan attached to it. those click yes to activate ones, well if you click no the trojan activates, if you click yes then the spyware downloads. The crappy thing is some of these trojans wait a week or two before norsh-itan finds it.

Where the heck do you make 13/hr Dorw? Im just a measly College Grad... Best you can expect to make here in Springfield is about 9 if your a God... Unless your a maintainence worker... Im not sure why the uneducated greasmonkeys make the big bucks. Average College Grad pay here is 7.50 to 8 and the rest are making 6.50 unless you work in maintainence. Thos guys start at about 18-20 but theres not alot of industry here...

also try getting firefox,its alot more secure than internet explorer and comes with a pop-up blocker
also deleating cookies regularly will help.
