Maybe undead instead of getting gold for killing enemys could get that value of gold worth of new undead. like if a zombie costs 10 gold and the attack would have given me 30 gold in loot, I get 3 more zombies in the unit instead.

That might make it a little unfair though to the other player who has to move troops manually.
