Is that +1000 gold per castle, or total?

Ok, got that in now. I haven't uploaded it yet, however...

I'm trying to go through the tree to make sure everything is right and I've got a few questions. I hope someone can answer these for me.

1) The online manual says that Stone Shielding has no prereqs after building a blacksmith, but it doesn't show up for me in my current game. I'm guessing it's got a prereq of... Wood Paneling, maybe?

2) Is tax income per castle, or you just get +1000 gold each turn regardless of number of castles?

3) How much of each resource does Resource Generation give? CTDXXX sent it to me, but I think I deleted the message by accident... *sigh*

Thanks for the help on this, everyone.

Well, it's giving away vital info by posting this (i.e. that I have the tech right now), but...

"* - Resource Generation :
+14-26 Metal, Stone & Wood
+3-7 Gems per turn.
(Not shown above)"

Try not to lose it this time ;-)

Edit - this also ought to help...

"Castle (2)
Income Gold +2000
Taxes Gold +1000
Tax Reform Gold +1000
Resource Generation * All +??"

Slightly off topic..CTD?...I'll pose this question to you. Do you believe the payoff of resource generation is worth the price of the tech? I don't think it gives enough extra income...but of course usually it's one of those techs you buy when you've already purchased almost everything else.

Not forgetting when you get stuck defending (as I always do, not just this time ;-) ), and filling in between rengen of buildings.

The other benefits are that it can't be captured (just as well as my home castle is being slowly wrecked and I'm now salvaging what I can) and probably it's best use is when you don't have a gem pond. Gem ponds are not one of the three building you get easy access right at the start, so maybe you'll need it!

Well, I just used the tree to look up something I needed, and it took the sum total of 10 seconds to find and confirm EVERYTHING I needed to know. I guess this makes your project a success...! :-)

Woohoo!! Glad to hear that.

I found another possible error, though...

Is there a prereq to research the Towers tech?

yes they are:

Casle def. a tech
millitary acad. a building

I made my own tech tree, but this one is better than mine, but I kept it for reasons like this.

lol, does this mean that the project is a total failure?

I'll have an updated version (complete with the fixed Tower(s) stuff) in a few minutes.

what do you mean total falure? The tree is a great source of information that has helped many players already.

I'm double checking everything and compairing it to my tree and sources.

I'll let you know if I find anything wrong.

Hehe, I was kidding! CTD said it was a total success because he was able to look up some stuff... the info was wrong, though. =p

I'm gonna work on setting the colors to be more WOL like. I guesstimated the colors before, so I'm going to go back and fix them.

Does anyone have anything about the tree that annoys them?

The thing that annoys me the most about the tree is trying to find a tech. For instance, say you're looking for the Towers tech. The easiest way to find it is to ctrl+f to find it. I'm thinking to either add a frame or a dropdown box that has a listing of all of the techs alphabetically. When you select the tech you want to see, it drops to (around) that area on the page.

It annoys me that I have to go onto another page to reach it :-)
