Seriously how stupid do you think I am? Of coarse I'm not going to tell you where I am so you can get rid of the person with the most clan exp.

Not that it matters. I'm going to guess that you guys are going to win this game easily.

Breathing heavily, the scout enters with the news from the border, "M'lord, the enemy forces have entered our lands to the north. It is as you suspected. Our reception is prepared." Lord Hwatta stands easily on the high tower looking towards the cold ice wastes..."Yes, let us meet our uninvited guests and give them a welcome they won't soon forget. Send word to our allies at once. They will be most interested in this development."

with sand spiraling behind us, the 1st calvery of Savetuba, we rushed onto the foolish commandeers. Blades flashed, crys of mercy and death filled the air. I my self took at least 2 of the bewildered men. Looking to our leader I saw Savetuba jerked his sowrd left and right cleaving men's heads in two or severing limbs for thier bodies. Soon the remainder of the comms droped their daggers and buclers, turned, and ran for their lives. Lord Savetuba did not order us to follow, but instead have us regroup. Upon my bronze horse I could see other groups of men in the distance, but not being a general I could only speculate as to what these men were. After regrouping we learned that 2 of our good men had died in the charge, one who had the unforchant luck of recieving the point of the flag to his chest and the other had his horse fall out from under in the dense swampy muck. Soon we go order to fall back to our beloved home so as to await the coming of our own.

The bitter north wind swirled the dead leaves over the equally dead corpses. "So, these were the archers who killed our small scout party?"
"Yes, M'lord. These were the ones.", replied the captain of the scouts.
"All of them are dead?"
"Every last one. None escaped, M'lord."
"Excellent." Lord Hwatta smiled as he turned his horse towards the scene of the next likely battle.

Sir Grimnar Rockhammer surveyed the parade of his departing Falchioners as they headed in the direction of the enemies castle. He could not help but smile as the sun glittered off there polished armor. All too soon the pomp and splendor of this days events would be replaced by the blood, dirt and gore of the battlefield. The smile was in knowing that the blood and gore would be his enemies.. Now it is time to train a new unit to send forth..

My lord we just had two messengers arive. The first told us where we could find the nave who get fresh with princess.
"What we know where Hwata is located? ready the troops we march at once!"
But my lord there is a problem the second messenger told us that hankyspanky stands between us and Hwata.
"hankyspanky you say, would you mind explaining to me how that is a problem?"
Umm, hmm, yes milord I'll go ready the troops. After all you did say you wanted to march at once.
"Very well, carry on."

As the wizard stepped back from the slowly darkening crystal ball, Lord Hwatta fell to the floor laughing...tears streaming down his face and holding his sides. "That Ghengis! Of all the possible things to accuse me of as he rallies his troops...getting fresh with Princess!" Rising still holding his sides, "I have always been a perfect gentleman with all of our fair warriors and have the utmost respect for all of them!" Regaining his composure, "Let us finish off this challenge from the ice realms and prepare to meet the coming hordes. It will be hard to battle two warriors of the caliber of Lonestorm and Ghengis, but the men must be rallied to give their best effort. Do you have any other news wizard?" "Nothing you are not aware of already M'lord." Lord Hwatta remarks, "Thanks for the brief entertaining interlude." as he strides out of the keep to return to the battlefront.

The distant sound of trumpets and hoofbeats echo over the dead earth.

"FALL BACK! FALL BACK!"

-----------------------------------------

Julia,
You know I hate to yell, but ever since my promotion to Captian by defalt due to the death of our comander it seems I'm yelling more and more. And what's more it seems I am yelling fall back more often. How did I gain this promotion my dear? Well our original charge faltered as we incountered the enemy sooner than we thought. They crushed our advance unit and charged down upon our archers slaughtering all of those unforchant souls. I know that you had a brother that was among them and I greive for him and your lose. I also wonder where our reinforcements had gone to or where our king had gone to seeing how he was with the advance unit. had our reinforcements had been there I'm sure your brother would be alive.
I must cut this letter short for I have recieved orders to attack.

With my love,
Captian Robert Flecher

Dear moder,

First things first, Savetuba, excellent posts I enjoyed reading them immensely, they were very entertaining and creative as well.

Now my turn

******
(Timeline: Pre Turn 1)
Scouting report from General Zander to King Lonestorm.

My lord as you commanded I have taken up our keep in the deathly swamps of this foul land. The fortifications are satisfactory and will make do, but I have already begun to improve the walls and turrets, as they lacked proper maintainence.

The morale is good mi'lord, so far we seem to be holding up alright, the enemy has not been sited and we are training hard and additional forces show up everything.

Things are looking bright. This is all I have to report.

May the light shine on you and lead your forces to victory over the evil that plagues this foul land.

Signed,

General Zander, The Generalismo of the Crusaders

Timeline: Turn 7

Scouting report from 1st Captiain of the Eastern Battlion to General Zander at Swamp Keep.

Sir I have good news and bad news, which happens everytime a unit faces battle. We have engaged both bandits and our enemies sir. The enemy troops seem to belong to one of their Warlords called Savetuba. I recall his name and I believe he is one of their more skilled leaders. However, let me now detail the skirmishes.

On our second day from the keep on our exploration east, we ran into a group of bandits who were hiding out around an old wood mill. Realizing the usefulness of the woodmill we struck them, using our archers to take down many and our spears to finish the rest. After having killed the bandits we rested, but our commandeers convinced us that they could get the mill operating by morning so they proceeded without us. That was our mistake.

I know little of what has happened, for they themselves do not know (those few that survived). What I can piece together though is that on their way to the mill they encountered a fully rested group of scouts. You know as well as I do what happens when commandeers face up against scouts, it was a slaughter. Luckily, (if you can call it that) the noise from the battle awoke our troops and we rushed to their aide, saving eight of them... Upon the arrival of the rest of our forces the scouts retreated and we pursued seeking vengence. Here we encountered more of them. Archers and swordsmen.

Realizing this was to be our first real battle of the campaign we wasted no time and deployed our units accordingly. Our spearmen cashed down his arhcers while our scouts (which were summoned from local areas, also i suggest giving our runners an extra days pay for their efforts of getting us reenforcements in time) harassed the enemy scouts and enemy swordsmen. Our archers fell back into the distance and proved true marksmen, as they took down enemy units whenever the opportunity arose.

Finally after a day or twos worth of fighting (you know how time gets disoriented in battle) we were able to finish of Savetubas forces. Luck was with us for the enemy swordsmen and scouts never realized the threat of our spearmen coming from their rear after the archers fled.

All in all it could be called a victory but it would be short lived as the spearmen report that they saw more scouts, a commandeer and a group of spearmen all coming from the mountains. This wouldn't be bad news, except they bore the banner and mark of this Savetuba.

We will be falling back sir so that we will not incurr any more losses.

Signed,

Alexnder Rae, First Captain of the Eastern Battlion

(This is getting very entertaining, I hope the rest join in)

Field report

My Khan

The forces you sent out to determine why bandit and renegade activity has increased in your lands has been successful. We were able to deal with several of the groups. Though we have suffered casualties they have been minimal in comparison to the forces we have crushed.

We also managed to capture some prisoners in the process. One of the prisoners turned out to be a spy for that rogue hankyspanky. They have been the ones stirring up the populace. Apparently hankyspanky wanted to reduce the support you would receive from the villagers in the area before he launched his invasion.

A messenger has just arrived with your orders to march upon Hwatta avoiding battle with hanky if possible.
I will march lord, but it will not be immediately. We have discovered the location of the last of the bandits and renegades plaguing us. They are near the border, but I do not wish to leave such people behind us as a threat.
Also my lord in light of this information about that bandit lord hanky, I've have altered your order from avoiding battle to destroying any troops sighted.

By the time the messenger reaches you I should have finished off the last of the bandits and renegades and your forces will be crossing the border. If you feel I have disobeyed you I am sorry, but the concern of my troops comes before orders that may not know the whole situation. I fullfill your orders to the best of my ability and knowledge.

Your loyal servant
scout leader R'Hakmar
