There's nothing more interesting than trying to change the subject.

I have a series of moles that look like Hawaii. Should I seek legal counsel?

Do you know that old chickens lay very fragile eggs?

I finally found a pizza vendor who makes a pizza with a tough crust. I think most of them have started catering to folks who can't chew well and So have started using flours and methods that produce tender crusts.

I paid $2.27/gallon for regular gas last time I bought it. That means it must be almost $3.00/gallon some places.

Are we supposed to speak incoherently?
Some folks already think I do and I almost complained of harassment because of it.

Are we allowed to make consecutive posts? Conversation in other threads seems to have reached an all time low and not many folks seem to be contributing very often here.

You've created a paradox Mog..

We're all supposed to say something that is off-topic, but the topic of the thread is "Off-topic"... How can there be an 'Off topic' topic, in which everyone has to be "Off topic" of the main topic that is .. 'Off topic'? .. Whew.

BTW.. does anyone know what a "Gruntfuttock" is?

Commerical break

Are you tired of Mog's hairy back Well for just $59.95 you can have Helga the Hun go wax his back. She will flip him flop him and maybe even drop him. You are sure to get your moneys worth. So send your money to Getthehairoffmoggysback in care of WOL.

Now back to Off Topic...........

@TheLix - I believe Gruntfuttock is actually "J Peasemold Gruntfuttock", which was a character in a British radio comedy series broadcast in the 60s and 70s called "Round the Horne".

You have probably encountered that recently because several engines for sending spam mails create funny names in the 'From' line which reminded people of that show. Here is the geeky explanation:

[The reason for this use of random words for names is to try to fool Bayesian adaptive filtering, used by Mozilla Mail and gradually being adopted by other anti-spam products. As the user identifies messages he considers to be spam, Mozilla learns from the user, and builds a table of probabilities that a given word will be found in a spam message. This table is used to score incoming messages, and if the total spam score is above a certain threshold, the message goes straight into a Junk bin. So spammers are using creative spelling (replacing letters with similar punctuation marks, for example), injecting random words in subject lines or sender addresses (a recent subject line: "coast target icarus phenotype vest groat snort despotic diverge detriment galvanism click protoplasmic trident breccia" -- for an e-mail advertising medication of some sort) to try to skew the spam score and sneak in under the threshold. Better spam filters also look at features that are characteristic of spam -- like piles of invalid HTML tags or nothing but an HTML image link.]

So there!...

Ohh... and BTW, snorting earthworms as shown in Jackass on TV, is not something you should try at home!

Wow, I totally agree with the first 17 words said, and then every 3rd word thereafter! Especially the part about monopoly being an evil plot by magicians to merely obscure our innate ability to comprehend marshmellows. Like this one time in 1422 when Theopold the Smiley smiled his last smile and carked it during Queen Henry's (long story!) inauguration! Wow, that was the talk of the hamlet for at least a good 8 Sexlets!
Sexlets being the measurement of time at the time, which were the equivalent of 812 of your "earth" years.. but this was way back before the use of the term Sexlets was prohibited by <b>Va'harun</b> the Bold! Apparently Sexlets reminded him of the word Piglets, and he had a terrible phobia of Piglets, and even worse fears of Heffalumps! So much so, that <b>Va'harun</b> the Bold changed his name to <i>Va'harun</i> the Italic and spent the rest of his life chasing down Heffalumps evil twin cousin, Snuffleufagus!
"AHOY!" he would cry from the top of his Seeing Tree, and the wilderbeast would scatter from here to Holland, where Snuffleuffagus was actually laying in wait in a Fjord, preparing to ambush the simple Clog-folk of the Dyke!

Ahh, the good old days.... ;-)

*walks off triumphantly*
